“A Directed Democracy that Myanmar Have is Something to Look Into”

Here’s what I want to share my reading today. Getting democracy means that any citizen should be allowed to express himself politically, that law and democratic culture enable, and indeed foster, a diversity of viewpoints and points of view, that political parties do not have assured monopolies on government structures, and that it is possible to replace party elites with their representatives. At the moment, none of this is in evidence in Myanmar.

As I look at it, throughout everything that happened, the army and the NLD have carved a duopoly between themselves in which they do not accept any foreign attack. In fact, Some areas of the government administration are disputed by each other, but all accept that no more democracy is needed or desirable.
