Israel’s focus on writers is a consequence of ‘exemption’, Indian columnists caution

Around 140 senior Indian columnists have sent a joint letter to Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett in which they censured the Israeli armed force’s focusing on Al Jazeera writer Shireen Abu Akleh.

Dr. Abdel Razeq Abu Jazar, the media consultant at the Embassy of Palestine in India, said the columnists focused that focusing on Abu Akleh is a result of a “conscious climate in view of exemption”, adding that Israeli powers make writers who work autonomously take care of their reports.

The writers sent their letter to the Israeli top state leader through Israel’s Ambassador to New Delhi, Naor Gilon.

They approached Bennett to denounce the focus of Abu Akleh and to open a straightforward examination by an autonomous power to guarantee equity for herself and to stop all the more such assaults.
