Trump upheld Israel’s extension plan in a mystery letter: Report
Previous US President Donald Trump sent a mystery letter to then Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, approving his questionable extension plan of Palestinian regions to Israel’s sway, as indicated by Israeli media on Monday, Anadolu News Agency reports.
The Jerusalem Post paper said the three-page letter, dated 26 January 2020, says: “Israel would have the option to stretch out power to parts of the West Bank in the event that Netanyahu consented to a Palestinian State in the leftover area.”
Netanyahu got the letter only two days before Trump declared his supposed “arrangement of the hundred years” to tackle the Palestinian-Israeli clash, an arrangement that was energetically dismissed by the Palestinians.
Harmony talks between the Palestinians and Israel fell in 2014 because of Tel Aviv’s refusal to deliver Palestinian prisoners and stop settlement building.
Trump’s “arrangement of the 100 years” alludes to Jerusalem as “Israel’s unified capital” and perceives Israeli sway over huge pieces of the involved West Bank.
The arrangement includes the foundation of a Balkanised Palestinian state as an archipelago associated with extensions and passages.
That’s what Palestinian authorities say, under the US plan, Israel will add on 30–40 percent of the West Bank, including all of East Jerusalem.
Under worldwide tension, Netanyahu didn’t report his addition plan as was planned for July 2020, guaranteeing he just deferred its declaration.
